Job Description

Warehouse Lead (Part-Time, with Growth Potential)

 

Designer’s Warehouse | Wilmington / Leland, NC
20–30 hours per week (potential to grow to 40)

Designer’s Warehouse is a receiving, inspection, warehousing, and logistics partner built specifically for interior designers. We handle high-end furniture, art, and décor with care, accuracy, and accountability. We’re looking for a dependable Warehouse Lead to help run day-to-day warehouse operations and serve as a key point of ownership on the floor.

 

What You’ll Do

 

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You’ll be trusted to keep operations moving smoothly and accurately.

Core Responsibilities

  • Sign for inbound shipments and verify deliveries

  • Receive, scan, and upload paperwork into inventory systems

  • Print and apply inventory labels/stickers

  • Open-box inspections of furniture, décor, and accessories

  • Photograph and document condition (including damage, when applicable)

  • Safely warehouse items according to project and client

  • Pull, stage, and prep items for dispatch and installation

  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment

  • Communicate issues clearly (damage, shortages, mismatches, etc.)

  • Assist with general warehouse needs as projects require

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable handling high-value furniture and decor

  • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks

  • Basic computer skills (scanning, file uploads, label printing)

  • Physically able to lift, move, and inspect furniture (with assistance/tools as needed)

  • Warehouse, logistics, moving, or furniture handling experience is a plus

  • Interior design, installation, or receiving experience is a bonus—but not required

 

Schedule & Hours

 

  • Monday - Friday Start 8-8:30 am - Until (between 12 - 3:30 pm)

  • 20–30 hours per week to start

  • Strong opportunity to grow into 40 hours per week

  • Some flexibility required based on inbound shipments and dispatch needs

Compensation
